At Birmingham Restaurant Week (BRW), our mission is rooted in community support. This dedication influences all our initiatives, which is why, during the Summer Edition of BRW 2024, we prioritized backing local businesses. Our aim was to help the community explore and savor local dining options! With the generous support of our sponsors and the participating restaurants, bars, and food trucks, we are excited to contribute $2,500 to Magic City Harvest to aid their work in addressing waste and hunger.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka also matched our amount! This donation was made possible through the philanthropic arm of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, “Love, Tito’s.” The goal of Love, Tito’s is to turn spirits into love and goodness by joining forces with nonprofits to host events, participate in service projects, and give back to communities in meaningful ways. Tito’s empowers employees, customers, and fans to make the world a better place through Love, Tito’s, and the company has supported thousands of nonprofits over the years.
The team at Magic City Harvest believes that everyone in our community deserves access to nutritious food. They work tirelessly to collect perishable and non-perishable food from schools, wholesale distributors, churches, caterers, restaurants, and grocery stores, ensuring that food insecurity and malnutrition are addressed. Through their dedicated efforts, they distribute donated food to feeding agencies in Birmingham, aiming to alleviate hunger and reduce food waste.
We are excited to partner with an organization that plays a vital role in nourishing and uplifting our community. We can’t wait to collaborate with more restaurants, bars, food trucks, nonprofits, and the Birmingham community for Birmingham Restaurant Week 2025.
